E1. BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS
Learning what the Business Model Canvas is the first step to understand how to describe, design, challenge, and pivot your business.
E2. COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE
In this workshop you’ll be learning how important it is to know who your competitors are and how you are different. There might be another application or idea out there just like you, how are going to bring something new to the table?
This workshop will be two days long. Don’t worry it won’t be too stressful, it is just some time for you to put together some of the things you’ve learned for the past three weeks. Hopefully you’ll have a rough idea of what your idea will be like after the Buildathon.
E4. COOL SPEAKER
It's time to find where your ideas are lacking. We'll work on giving groups feedback to make your ideas better. Some will change altogether but don't worry it will pay off in the end.
Prepare a short 3-minute pitch of your idea. A pitching coach is comig to town and he'll make mediocre pitches great and great pitches even better.
Get some practice before the final pitch night. This is your opportunity to prepare something close to your final presentation. You've done all the work up to this point you're on the last stretch.
The program will culminate in a final pitch competition where teams will pitch their businesses once more to a larger Northwestern audience. Winning teams receive fantastic prizes.
